Most Christians Don't Know What Every Christian Should Know
by Dr. Roy Branson.
Dr. Branson says, "The disgrace of Christianty is that
the huge majority of professing Bible believers don't know what every Christian should know. Not one of a hundred can even give a
sensible answer as to why they believe the Bible to be the Word of God. Preppie platitudes and squishy cliches are sticky lids to
hide an abyss of ignorance." This readable book, recommended by the late Dr. B. R. Lakin, Dr. Lee Roberson, Dr. E. J. Daniels,
and other great leaders, can enlighten the untaught reader and add much to the arsenal of preachers and teachers. Dr. Lakin said of
it, "I do not believe I have ever come across a book that was as great a blessing to my own life."

The Holy War
by John Bunyan.
Once upon a time in the town of Mansoul, a fierce battle raged to take control away from the rightful Prince.
Who will be the conquering Prince? Diabolus or Emmanuel? And what can the inhabitants do to resist the attacks of the evil one? Your
soul is under attack from the forces of evil.
Through this powerful allegory, you will learn how to: build up your defences, flood
your mote, and prepare for war! Bunyan will illuminate your understanding and show you: When your soul is in line with Christ, you
can accomplish anything. Spiritual attack is constant and can be deadly. The enemy will stop at nothing to possess your soul.

Solitude Sweetened
by James Meikle, (1730 - 1799).
Some books become of little interest when their theme has little or no practical
application for the reader. For the Christian, especially the ones who are "...in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart,
and to be with Christ; which is far better:" Solitude Sweetened will, with anticipation of reading the next page, draw your attention
from this present evil world and fix your gaze on "...a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens."
An
evangelist in Florida said "Solitude Sweetened is no doubt the greatest devotional book I have ever read."

Said one author: "The phrasing of Meyer's sermons was simple and direct; he polished his discourses as an artist polishes a perfect
stone. There was always a glowing imagery in his words; his speech was pastoral, lovely as an English valley washed in sunlight....In
his day, great wars raged, but those who went to hear him forgot the battles."He had great influence upon such giants of the Faith
as J. Wilbur Chapman and Charles H. Spurgeon. Spurgeon said, "Meyer preaches as a man who has seen God face to face."

The Letters of Samuel Rutherford (1600? - 1661)
in 3 Volumes
by Andrew A. Bomar.
Rutherford was a Scottish Presbyterian theologian and
author. He was one of the Scottish Commissioners to the Westminster Assembly. Educated at Edinburgh University, where he became in
1623 Regent of Humanity (Professor of Latin). In 1627 he was settled as minister of Anwoth in Galloway, from where he was banished
to Aberdeen for nonconformity. Rutherford's political book Lex, Rex (meaning "the law and the king" or "the law is king") presented
a theory of limited government and constitutionalism. It laid the foundation for later political philosophers and thus for modern
political systems such as that of the United States. Today, Rutherford is remembered for his spiritual and devotional works.Concerning his Letters, Charles Spurgeon wrote: "When we are dead and gone let the world know that Spurgeon held Rutherford’s Letters
to be the nearest thing to inspiration which can be found in all the writings of mere men".
